five easy steps
We are so glad you are here!
We know getting plugged in to a new church can be tricky, so we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible for you to feel at home. Check out these five easy steps...Don’t be afraid to jump in and ask questions- we are thrilled you are checking us out!
1. Three Minute Hello
The first few weeks at any new church can feel overwhelming- you don’t know how things work and you probably want to know more about the community and our beliefs. We want you to be able to answer those questions right away! Immediately after the service, our leaders and elders congregate around the olive trees right outside the front doors. They are EAGERLY anticipating a chance to meet you and answer any questions you might have, as well as let you know when our next Discovering Community course will start.
2. Connecting Lunch
After meeting a few of the elders, consider going out for a Connecting Lunch. It's a fun way for folks to eat lunch (on our dime!) and get to know a few others that are part of our community on a Sunday afternoon following the main service. Email Vineyardcommunitygroups@gmail.com to find out when the next lunch is being held.
3. Discovering Community
If you'd like to test the waters of community, but aren't ready to join a longer-term Vineyard Community, consider signing up for our short-term, six-week Discovering Community group. You’ll get a chance to share dinner with others, learn more about the Vineyard's values, and experience a taste of what being in a longer-term community group is like. These groups run a couple times a year, so just drop an email to Vineyardcommunitygroups@gmail.com and ask when the next one starts.
4. Vineyard Communities
We believe we come most alive with Jesus when we are living and serving in the context of community. So if you're ready to dig in, consider joining one of our longer-term Vineyard Communities. Each of our groups is a bit different, so visit a few before deciding which is the best fit for you. Contact Vineyardcommunitygroups@gmail.com to get more information.
For those who feel a calling to be a little more involved in serving our church and our community, there are a variety of ways you can use your gifts, talents, and money to welcome and serve each other. Talk to your small group leader or email Chris DeHaan at Vineyardcommunitygroups@gmail.com to find out what you can do to get involved!
