Who We Are

beliefs

  • We believe that the sixty-six canonical books of the Bible are the verbally inspired word of God, and therefore without error in the original writings. They constitute the only infallible authority for all matters of faith and practice.
  • We believe in one God, creator and preserver of all things, infinite and personal, omniscient and omnipotent, perfect in love and justice. Who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, in His life fully God and fully human.
  • We believe that God is present in the world today in the person of the Holy Spirit, who draws us to faith in Jesus Christ and dwells in all believers, empowering them to manifest the likeness and character of Christ.
  • We believe that man and women were created by God in His image; that they voluntarily chose to disobey God, and thereby incur temporal and eternal spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that as a result of that original sin all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word, and in need of reconciliation with God and regeneration by His Spirit.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins on the cross as a representative substituting sacrifice, and that all who place their faith in Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us, as High Priest and advocate.
  • We believe in the personal, imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth to establish His righteous rule.
  • We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God, in a relationship in which they are eternally secure.
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessed life of those made righteous in Christ and the eternal punishment of the unrighteous.
